My experience with W3 Counter
Today I cancelled my subscription with W3 counter because I was tired of always waiting for pages to load. It’s really too bad because I really like the layout and the features the counter has. I did contact the owner awhile back about this issue, and in a matter of 30 minutes, the speeds increased dramatically.

Short lived though, a couple days later I ran into slow loading pages once again. It got so bad, that I didn’t even want to check my counter stats to avoid being well…annoyed. Yep, I got all the stats to back up my claim. So this is my experience with W3 counter, great counter, great guy, but slow website. Who knows, maybe he just didn’t like me. Not sure if W3 counter is still doing trail runs still, but give it a try and see if you run into the same speed issue. This is my experience and may not reflect yours, I encourage you to investigate this yourself.
I asked the few people that I recommended W3 people to if they had the same issue, they all said yes. “Getting a page cannot be displayed” blank document is not uncommon according to one, let’s see if they ever follow my advice again.
After digging around for a few days, I found Sitemeter to do the trick very nicely. No more waiting for pages to load and the price is nice. $6.95 a month (free account available) for detailed stats and you can even use a yahoo widget on your desktop to see your visits and views on the fly.
Check out the Yahoo Sitemeter Desktop Widget
So that’s my experience and I’m pretty happy to check stats efficiently. Speed rules.

Same slow loading speeds as well. Tried the sitemeter website and seems like a good deal for the product being shown. I will continue my search for a decent web counter service, I might just give Sitemeter a shot. I know some people that has issues with the blogs but I think that is all sorted out.
Cheers Mate.
