So you want to insert flash into your Myspace profile eh? Well it’s actually pretty simple if you have mastered the copy and paste technique, here is a step-by step tutorial how to embed flash into Myspace. First thing will need to do is have your Flash file hosted.
Step 1. After the swf file is hosted somewhere, get the url where it’s hosted, example: (http://www.hostingcompany/yourflashfile.swf)
Step 2. Log into your Myspace account and go to the section where you want the Flash to appear, copy and paste this code:
<embed
allowScriptAccess=”never”
src=”http://www.yourwebsite.com/mediaplayer.swf” quality=high pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”
width=”300″
height=”300″>
</embed>
Step 3. Make sure that you replace this default line of code (src=”http://www.yourwebsite.com/mediaplayer.swf ) with your own.
Save and view your Myspace profile with your new Flashy insert.

http://imageshack.us/ is a place where we can host flash file for free. It’s not really hard to use, I have an account at them, a free account, and they can host flash, images and other types of files. The down part is that there is a bandwidth limit, but anyway, we don’t get to much traffic to myspace profiles anyway, are we?

This is going to be useful. I never thought that adding flash stuff to my profile can be this easy. Thanks for this tutorial. I’ll tell my friends about it

Thanks Danny, I had no idea they hosted Flash…great for people that don’t want a hosting plan just for these kinds of things.

This little tutorial is quite interesting. I thought of tutorials as boring and hard to understand lessons but this was quite a nice experience. I don’t have a myspace page, but learning how to deal with this embedding process is a good thing.
